It is produced from indigenous grape varieties, Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, cultivated with the ancient and traditional sapling system. These are the vines cultivated since ancient times in this area, produce a wine rich in essences and aromas. The sandy - volcanic soil gives the wine unique and special mineral notes. The vineyard located in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia in Passopisciaro, contrada Feudo Di Mezzo is 700 m. above sea level.   Vineyard Location: Passopisciaro, contrada Feudo di Mezzo, a DOC area for red wines, is a small hamlet located on the northern slope of Etna at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, within Etna Park. The vineyard is located within an ancient crater. Soil: sandy - volcanic.       Color: ruby red with garnet hues. Smell: ethereal, fruity, spicy, with nuances of tobacco and vanilla. Taste: dry, full, tannic, harmonious. Persistent on the palate. Serving temperature: 16 - 18° C. Pairing: goes well with red meats, game and aged cheeses. Bottle size: 750 ml.
