The wine company Vie di Romans, founded in Friuli by the Gallo family, owns fifty hectares of planted vineyards in Mariano del Friuli, within the DOC zone of Friuli Isonzo, in the easternmost area of northern Italy, close to the Slovenian border. From this region the Gallo family produces a wide variety of wines, including the white wine 'Flors di Uis'.
